Looking for a Bag to Fit all of your MMA and Training Gear? Find out if this bag has what it takes to get the job done.
Briefing
I have gone through my share of Sh*tty Gym Bags so when the time came around to invest in a new bag I immediately began to do my research. I came across this bag and decided to give it a try. Now here is a picture of my gear along with an Itemized list.

Design / Aesthetics
If you have read any of my reviews or continue to read my reviews you will notice that I am not into flashy gear. I enjoy clean and simple design. Datsusara's designs are truly minimalistic. The bag is essentially just a Military Issue Backpack only it works so well as a gear bag. The Battlepack is completely Jet Black save for one tinge of color coming from the patch on the front which is removable for those that dislike it.

There is also a velcro strip without the patch across the upper portion of the front pack. This is the first time I have seen velcro used as an embelishment and it works quite nicely.

Lets take a closer look at all the pockets and storage that this bag has to offer. This is the bags main compartment fully opened. As you can see it fits quite alot of gear. Usually in this compartment I keep my shin guards, Gloves, 1 Gi, and misc gear in the smaller pouches.

Shin Guards Removed, You can slide a laptop easily into this area if you wanted to.

There is a small pouch to keep an Ipod at the top of the bag just behind where the top of the shinguards would be. Below you will notice there is a flap on either side of the handle. Each one is a velcro flap that has a hole for your earbuds to go through so you can listen to music while your Ipod/Iphone is stored safely inside. This can also be used for a hydration pack tube for easy access to a drink.

On the Inner part of the main compartment are several Mesh pockets that can be used for just about anything. I use them for my MMA Gloves and Handwraps mostly.

On each side of the bag there are two more large compartments. I use mine for Canteen and Soap, Shampoo, tape, etc.

Inbetween the main compartment and the front compartment you are able to fit even more gear. A Kimono fits perfectly in this area and allows for it to breath.

The front compartment stores (if you can guess) MORE GEAR! For me Underwear and Grappling Shorts to be exact not to mention the Sweet NASTY BAG Datsusara throws in when you purchase your bag! There are also a few more mesh pockets for misc. items.

2 Small pockets at the front of the main compartment fit keys, phone or wallet

You can see in this picture and pretty much every picture that the Datsusara Battlepack is covered in MOLLE Webbing. MOLLE (pronounced MOLLY as in the female name) is an acronym for Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment. It is used to define the current generation of load-bearing equipment and rucksacks utilized by the United States armed forces, especially the United States Army, and its use is also growing in the British Army in the form of the Osprey Modular systems. This makes it possible to strap even more stuff to your bag if you dare. Pretty soon you will be the one man band equivalent to an MMA Gym.

Last but not least are the Bags Sternum strap (adjustable) and padded waist strap (waist strap can be hidden). Super comfy and adjustable for a perfect fit.

And still more MOLLE Webbing on the Straps!
I believe I pretty much covered everything that this bag has to offer. If this is not enough room for you then you have serious issues and probably pack 6 suitcases for a weekend getaway.
Performance
I have not had to trek very far with this bag on my back but it certainly keeps my car from looking like I am homeless? The Hemp is super strong and super breathable and the bag still smells brand new even after leaving my wet gi strapped up overnight.
After packing this thing to almost near capacity the bag still rests comfortably on my shoulders. However when this bad boy is packed you are a bull in a china shop. So try not to turn around to quickly or you may knock someone out!
Here is an image I took from Datsusara's Website that can give you an idea of just how the bag looks while someone is wearing it.

Conclusion
This bag might seem Pricey to some. However this will likely be the only bag you will ever need again so to me it is a bargain. The quality is second to none so if your tired of stuffing your gear into an old golf bag or back pack then splurge and get yourself something nice! This bag makes it all the way to Black Belt!
